Poppy Playtime is a horror story told slowly over several chapters, and after the harrowing events of Chapter 3, Chapter 4 can’t come soon enough.
As far as the survival horror genre goes, indie horror games are among the best you could hope to play to scratch that itch for uncertainty, dread, tension, and a feeling of unease that never leaves your core. Poppy Playtime and its first three Chapters are no exception, having been picked up by thousands of players who have lavished the series with positive reviews on Steam. Chapter 4 is well on the way, but it might be further out than you first think.
When is the release window for Poppy Playtime Chapter 4?
The release date for Poppy Playtime Chapter 4 hasn’t been confirmed yet, but there’s speculation that the game will be released in 2025. This is because Chapter 3 had an 8-month development cycle and launched in early 2024, with a delay thrown in there too.
It would make sense that Chapter 4 could be released in 2024 on the same basis, but I’d like to give Mob Entertainment some space, and 2025 feels like a good enough amount of time to develop something worthy of this franchise without rushing. Of course, this is based on the chapter containing a similar amount of content. If it has more, then I’m almost certainly completely wrong.
Who is the main villain in Poppy Playtime Chapter 4?
The main villain for Poppy Playtime Chapter 4 isn’t known at the time of writing. We’ve had all sorts in previous chapters, including unsettlingly long legs and a monster that gave me nightmares about the Cheshire Cat. This villain is something we’ll almost certainly see in the first trailer for the chapter, but only a glimpse. You’ll probably have to wait to get into the chapter before you can see it in its full glory.
