Although E3 proper doesn’t start until this Tuesday, we hoofed it down to the Los Angeles Convention Center to pick up our badges and to see how things were going.
With two more days to go until the big event officially starts, the show is definitely very much a work in progress. Workers are frantically putting up banners, throwing booths together, and doing some last minute planning and placement for the show’s entrance; we even overheard that the Ghostbuster’s Ecto-1 would be making an appearance.
Right now, the convention center is alive with pre-show activity, but it pales in comparison to what we expect it to look like when filled to the brim with attendees. Still, there’s plenty of stuff to see both inside and out, like large signs advertising the show’s biggest titles, like Mass Effect 2, Assassin’s Creed 2, Mafia II, Modern Warfare 2… damn, that’s a lot of sequels, isn’t it?
Check out the gallery for more images from the pre-E3 LACC, both inside and out. You may even spot some new images of your favorite games; I’m pretty sure the Splinter Cell: Conviction artwork is new… beat me with a stick if I’m wrong.
We haven’t even scratched the surface of our E3 coverage, which officially starts tomorrow with Microsoft’s early morning media briefing (10:00am PST). Stick with us — it should get pretty crazy.
