According to IGN, a not-too-confident D3 Publisher revealed that Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords will be next week’s Xbox Live Arcade title. That is, of course, it “all goes well.”
As we all know, the XBLA certification process is a minefield of red tape and night terrors, so until we get the official word from Microsoft, nothing is set in stone. For all we know, this week’s releases could be more fish for last week’s XBLA title, Tetris Splash. Still, releasing a “launch” trailer for Puzzle Quest is a promising sign.
I certainly hope we see the game this week. In anticipation, I just traded in my Nintendo DS version of the game for a measly $7 in store credit — that won’t even pay for half of the XBLA title, which is set to run 1200 MS Points (or $15).
