Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time goes gold

Recommended Videos
Insomniac Games has announced that Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time is done. Finished. In the can. The game’s gone gold! That means it’s on its way to the factory where fairies replicated discs and then gently place them in Blu-ray cases, right before shrinkwrap gnomes finish the job.

The game will be in stores on October 27, and is the full retail follow-up to 2007’s Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction and continues Insomniac’s tradition of long game names. A Crack in Time has everything you’d expect — big ass guns, crazy worlds, a furry lombax — and adds new time-bending Clank gameplay, as well as space exploration levels.

You might have to uh, find “a crack in time” to check out Insomniac’s new adventure. This is a big month for games, especially the PlayStation 3, what with Uncharted 2 hitting stores next week. Anyone feeling overwhelmed yet?
