Fans of Pierce Brown’s Red Rising saga of books have been feverishly waiting for the next installment, Red God, since 2023. If you’re one of those fans and are reading this, you obviously want to know the exact date, or at least a general release window, for Red God.
For the uninitiated, the Red Rising saga began in 2014 and is a sci-fi story set in a dystopian future on the planet Mars. The series centers on a miner named Darrow, a member of the working class Reds, who is sent to infiltrate the elite Golds that rule over the other humans so he can topple down their society from within. Author Pierce Brown wrapped up the original trilogy in 2016, but soon followed up with a sequel series titled the Iron Gold tetralogy.
This tetralogy takes place 10 years after the original trilogy and Red God will serve as its final entry. So, unless Brown has further plans for it, this could mark the end of the entire Red Rising saga.
What is the release date for Red God?
At the time of writing, Brown has not shared any sort of release window for Red God. When he announced the book in July 2022, Brown wrote on his Instagram that it would come “soon after” the previous book Light Bringer, which was published in July 2023. Until something changes, Red God doesn’t have a window at the moment.
Brown also hasn’t provided any major updates on Red God since that 2022 announcement, nor a synopsis for the book. We’ll be sure to update this article with a more precise release date and any other info once they are confirmed.
