I knew he was pro! Remember when we profiled the amazing and mysterious video game music remixing superstar Hyadain? Star of the Japanese side of the internet and even our YouTube? Even back in 2008 I suspected that he was a professional musician. Turns out I was right. Hyadain finally revealed to the internet that he is actually professional composer Kenichi Mayamada, composer of songs
such as Toho Shinki’s anime One Piece opening “Share the World” and many others. He’s done television, videogames, pop music, arranging and more. Listening to his works now, I’m smacking my forehead in embarrassment. I could have called this at any time if I were thinking about it! Check out that One Piece opening and you’ll hear it too.
On Hyadain’s Kenichi’s professional webpage you’ll find his full discography. This guy is a total musical badass, and a full-blown success in the Japanese music world. I feel silly for even thinking I could hang with him!
Even with as much as he’s done professionally, I still love his work as Hyadain. I still listen to the above Super Mario World Western Show regularly.
Hyadain, you pro bastard. That’s kind of cheating, you know!
