Oh, naughty stealing!
A small quantity of Resident Evil 6 copies have been thieved and are floating around Europe, waiting to be purchased. It was originally reported that a retailer in Poland had broken street date by a month, but Capcom has confirmed that the copies are stolen.
One potential suspect is selling a copy on eBay for the ridiculous price of €1196.71. Somebody has already bid €478.78 for the thing.
“Capcom is currently undertaking a thorough investigation into reports that Resident Evil 6 is being sold ahead of its official October 2 release date,” the publisher told Eurogamer. “At this time, all we can add is that it would appear this unfortunate incident is limited to a small quantity of stolen copies of the German USK PlayStation 3 version of the game.”
I’d pay a grand to slap Jeff Dunham in the face. I’d pay a grand to keep Jonathan Holmes in my house like a cat. I’d not pay much to play Resident Evil 6 a few weeks early.
