As royalty no less!
It’s time once again for your bi-weekly fix of peaceful video game landscapes. That’s right, Digital Tourist is back, and this time we’re walking like an Egyptian in Assassin’s Creed Origins.
AC Origins has beauty enough to impress any long gone pharaoh. From the bustling city of Alexandria, to the Nile River, to the Pyramids of Giza; We’ll be hitting them all with the help of our handy, if a bit too vocal, tour guide Cleopatra.
If you’re new to Digital Tourist, each episode we’ll be showcasing the beautiful worlds that game developers have crafted in painstaking polygonal detail. No questing; no combat (usually); no UI. Just a (mostly) peaceful walk, stroll, glide, trot, or trek across some of the greatest places to never exist.
Now, this is usually the part where I give you the lowdown on what mods we’ve dug up to make our game look even better than normal, but honestly, Origins is beautiful all on its own. The only additions up our sleeves are a mod to turn off the HUD to give you a better view and the Rebirth reshade. Other than that, it is just the base game rendered in breathtaking 4k.
As always, let us know what you think and what games you’d like to see featured on upcoming installments. If you’ve missed it, we’ve already covered Breath of the Wild, Minecraft, and Subnautica, so be sure to give those a look.
