Can you feel the rush now?
Riot Games, developer of the insanely popular League of Legends, has released a video looking at ten years of development that has gone into creating the MOBA title. As part of the video, we also get our very first look at the previously-teased LoL fighting game, temporarily titled Project L.
In blink-and-you’ll-miss-it footage, (01:54) we see a very short showdown between the nine-tailed fox gal (and part-time pop star) Ahri and Darius, The Hand of Noxus. Later in the video, (03:30) we see footage of Riot devs working on this new venture, with what appears to be a brief clip of the wild, gun-toting Jinx in action.
Even from these short clips, we can already ascertain that Project L will have more of a traditional Street Fighter look and feel to its gameplay, as opposed to the more complex, anime-influenced titles such as Guilty Gear or BlazBlue. This is incredibly early footage, so who knows what final form Project L will take, or when it will even see the light of day.
