Hang out with the Rito
Rito Village is an important location in Tears of the Kingdom. The charming town offers the helpful Snowquill armor set for sale and includes one of the main quests revolving around the adorable Tulin. This now frosty area can be difficult to spot for some, however.
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to find Rito Village in Tears of the Kingdom.
Rito Village location, explained
To get to your desired destination, you’ll want to head northwest of Lookout Landing and then northwest of Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower. It’s also north of Tabantha Frontier and northwest of Hyrule Ridge. Keep heading in this direction until you see a canyon. For early-game players, I’d recommend following up the canyon until you reach a pathway that crosses the rift.
You’ll also need some warm clothing to reach Rito Village as the landscape’s changed, due to the events that take place at the beginning of the game. Either make a Cold Resistance meal from cooking Spicy Peppers in a pot or find the Archaic Warm Greaves from the Great Sky Island. For more context, the latter option is located in that introductory tutorial area in the sky.
Once you’ve crossed the natural bridge over the canyon, keep following the main path that takes you southwest. Go past the Snowfield Stable. If you see the Lucky Clover Gazette, you know you’re going in the right direction. Ahead, you should see a spiraling stone tower. This is where Rito Village is.
There’s no bridge. What now?
Unfortunately, you’ll notice there’s no bridge to help you cross over to Rito Village. This is quite problematic! However, you may notice a fire next to you. Chop down the trees nearby, and a Hylian Pine Cone will drop. I also found some just lying on the ground, underneath these trees.
Hold the Hylian Pine Cone in Link’s hands and then drop it into the fire. A gust of wind will throttle up. Use the paraglider and then fly over to the other side of the broken bridge. Continue up the path, and now you’ve made it to Rito Village. For quick access to the location from now on, there’s a Shrine underneath. It’s called the Gatakis Shrine. It’s west of the little village area.
