If you’ve ever seen Indie Game: The Movie, you’ll have some idea of how it feels to fully develop a game, release it, then pray that it sells. It looks like Robomodo’s prayers were answered to the tune of 120,000 units, so what does that mean for the future? Well, according to Josh Tsui, more Tony Hawk of course!
In an interview with Gamasutra, Tsui states that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD was a proof of concept shown to Activision to convince them to greenlight a full Tony Hawk title. Tsui says that by jumpstarting this “lower risk” venture, Robomodo was allowed to take more chances, and now, “the prospect of a fuller game is definitely on the table — it’s just a matter of when and how.”
Go ahead Robomodo. Allow split-screen play, implement the ability to skip music tracks, tweak the physics a bit, and I’ll be the first in line.
