Didn’t get to E3? Didn’t go to PAX? Wanna rock your city like a hurricane? MTV and Rock Band are going on a 24-city tour, finally giving you the chance to rock out with your “Also, cocks” out.
The tour kicks off on September 9 at the MTV Video Music Awards, and will continue to some of the largest cities in the US through December. It’s going to be hard to miss this tour, folks — the crew will be traveling in a big rig, decorated as shown above. It will carry a full stage, along with all of the lights and high end sound systems fit to blow your ear drums.
The tour will also host the nationwide casting for MTV’s Rock Band “Rock Off.” Select performances will be captured on tape for consideration by MTV casting directors; the lucky rockers will be flown to NYC to spend time with “a real rock band” for “official rocker training.” Once properly schooled, they’ll get the opportunity to play on MTV’s TRL (the most metal show on television) and will also get to make complete fools of themselves as an open for a “surprise super group” at the Rock Band launch concert.
