As disclosed in Take-Two Interactive’s financial results for Q1 fiscal year 2013, 3 million copies of Max Payne 3 have been shipped to date. These are “lower-than-anticipated sales,” according to Take-Two Chairman and CEO Strauss Zelnick, but not to worry — there’s plenty of downloadable content on the way.
Following August’s free “Disorganized Crime Pack,” which introduces the Hoboken Rooftops multiplayer map and some new Score Attack modifiers, the previously planned five add-on packs for Max Payne 3 are being consolidated into three $9.99/800 Microsoft-Point packs that will release over the next few months.
These are taking the form of the “Hostage Negotiation Map Pack,” the “ Painful Memories Map Pack,” and the “Deathmatch Made In Heaven Mode Pack.” I don’t know how many of you are still playing this multiplayer, but it sounds like you’ll have plenty of incentives to stick with it.
