It’s been a long wait for Max Payne 3, so what’s a couple more months? The game will be missing its March release date, and is now scheduled to arrive on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on May 15, followed by a PC launch on May 29.
Moving such a big-name game back has resulted in Take-Two Interactive forecasting a loss for the fiscal year. “We do not take changes to our release schedule lightly, and this short delay will ensure that Max Payne 3 delivers the highest quality, groundbreaking entertainment experience that is expected from our company,” states Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick.
It’s reassuring to see some restraint in gunning for short-term objectives. And a PC version that isn’t coming months later? Progress!
