The Complete Edition comes with two expansions
I scream, you scream, we all scream forever. In a year as exhausting as 2020, it’ll be nice to chill out with a comfy, familiar, cathartic theme park management sim game like RollerCoaster Tycoon 3.
Developer Frontier (through its new Frontier Foundry label) is bringing RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition to Nintendo Switch on September 24, 2020, for a kinda-pushing-it $29.99. A PC re-release is also popping up on Steam (it’s been MIA for new buyers) and the Epic Games Store on the same day.
Apart from the Soaked! and Wild! packs (I always dug the straightforward naming), RCT3: Complete Edition will have “new controls designed to help you build the ultimate theme park” and “widescreen for the first time, with full 1080p resolution and increased compatibility for new PC hardware.”
RCT3 never clicked with me to the same extent as the Chris Sawyer classics, but I appreciate having a chance to plop this onto my Switch on a lazy afternoon. Time to start dreaming up demented rides.
Do our virtual park-goers deserve to suffer? Probably not! But it’s tradition.
