As part of today’s Nintendo Direct, Square Enix revealed the open RPG Romancing SaGa 2, originally released back in 1993, has gotten the full remake treatment. The Romancing SaGa series allows players to forge their own stories as they choose from an arsenal of main characters and expand their legacy, passing down powers and skills with each generation. Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven is headed to Switch on October 24, 2024.
Based on the trailer, it looks like Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven features some pretty substantial upgrades both graphically and gameplay-wise.
In Romancing Saga 2 players must oversee a Royal Court, leading an empire to longevity and prosperity by dictating its economy, technology, city construction, and magic. At its core, Romancing SaGa 2 is about prospering over generations as opposed to focusing on the short term.
This is another one I’ve yet to play, primarily because it was originally released in Japan and I just never got around to playing. It looks like a great time to finally get into it with the Revenge of the Seven remake.
Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven is scheduled to release on Nintendo Switch on October 24, 2024.
