Yeah, I’d be down for more of this
While I’m a huge Awesomenauts fan first and foremost, I also got a kick out of Ronimo Games’ prior release, Swords & Soldiers. It is one of those sidescrolling real-time strategy titles where you send your troops to the other end of the screen to beat up opposing troops. Simple fun. Nearly five years later, it’s getting a sequel. What have they learned since then?
The studio has announced Swords & Soldiers II for Wii U and the vikings are back, this time concerned with saving the world, not putting on a killer barbeque. Little else is known at this point, however if development is anything like it was for the last game, I’d expect ports and lots of ’em.
Ronimo will be saying more at the Game Developers Conference in March, and Swords & Soldiers II is going to be publicly playable at PAX East in April.
