Rory McIlroy PGA Tour
Tiger Woods’ name has gone from being synonymous with golf to being a different kind of pop culture reference. I’m not even sure if he golfs anymore. I just know he shows up to places missing teeth.
Of course, EA’s PGA Tour series parted ways with Woods, who’d been the series’ face since 1998, in 2013. The decision left was Woods’ successor and it seems like the company is trying to stick another long-lasting face on the series with Rory McIlroy and a new name, Rory McIlroy PGA Tour PGA Tour.
Personally, I was hoping for John Daly, but McIlroy is the safer choice. He’s the only other golfer I actually know by name, a holdover from when I still used ESPN as background noise.
Rory McIlroy PGA Tour PGA Tour runs in Frostbite, has no loading between holes, and is only coming to the current gen (PS4 and Xbox One).
