UK-based videogame industry Web site MCV is reporting that even more changes are in store for the E3 Business and Media Summit. The word on the street is that next year’s show wil move away from Los Angeles, and on to raunchier pastures, better suited for large scale trade shows like E3.
According to MCV, contractual obligations were the only thing that kept the convention in the Santa Monica this year, and the wheels are already in motion to move the event. Both New York and Las Vegas (a town well-suited for trade shows, booze, and hookers dressed up like Lara Croft) have both been mentioned.
This is not the first time Sin City has been hinted at, as we’ve also rumblings within the industry of a week long event taking place there next year — a first few days closed to the public, the second half of the week open to the plebs.
In a recent E3 survey, attendees were asked where they’d like the convention to take place next year. Neither New York or Vegas were among the cities listed, but seriously — who listens to us?
