The next Scribblenauts, tentatively titled Scribblenauts Unmasked, will take place in the universe of DC Comics, including characters like Batman and locations like the Batcave, IGN reports. The title is for PC, Wii U, and 3DS.

Unmasked originally centered on longtime Scribblenauts protagonist Max, but now may be shifting focus. Early level examples include one that takes place in the sewers beneath Wayne Manor, where Batman villain Killer Croc resides. The player must use words to solve puzzles in clever ways, in series tradition (e.g. feeding Croc a “dynamite sandwich”). The player pairs up with superheroes along the way to take down villains.

In early builds of the game, The Joker, Clayface, Aquaman, Harley Quinn, Black Manta, and Mr. Freeze all made appearances. No word on who will make an appearance in the final game — or what the final game will even be — but IGN’s sources hinted at a showing at E3 in June.

This could be a nice shot in the arm for the Scribblenauts series which is starting to outstay it’s welcome, even with Nintendo cameos.
