Here’s a rather interesting rumor that, despite being pretty crazy, has nevertheless gained traction. Gossip suggests that Microsoft’s upcoming Windows 8 OS will be able to run Xbox 360 games, eliminating the need for a console.
There is, of course, a catch. It’s suggested that MS will charge a subscription fee for the honor of playing 360 titles on your computer. It also allegedly runs the games on a network separate from Xbox Live, with no cross-game multiplayer due to controller disparities.
You know what, I was wrong. The more retarded it sounds, the less crazy it seems that Microsoft would do it.
