I dabbled in Rusty Hearts during the Steam Christmas sale in my attempts to earn enough coal to actually win a prize and, while I wasn’t completely blown away, I definitely enjoyed it. The beat-em-up combat was solid, and despite being mildly repetitive the dungeons were fun to play through. In what Perfect World has described as their “biggest update yet,” Rusty Hearts will be getting a whole lot of new content including new dungeons, monsters, bosses, a new playable character, and to make all of that more exciting to experience, they’re boosting the level cap.
Four new dungeons – The Opera House, Catwalks, Gallery, and Ramparts – will be made available, each with their own set of unique enemies and bosses while newcomer Roselle Vergerius will be spicing things up in the cash shop. If you’re already attached to a character, however, you get to look forward to over 200 new skills to go along with the increased level cap.
I haven’t touched the game since my initial experience, but I might dive back in and check it all out after Requiem releases on February 14.
