Last month, Bethesda held an event at the Palms in Las Vegas to show off a line-up of its upcoming titles. Among then was to be Splash Damage’s first-person shooter, Brink. I had hoped that this would be the first time we’d get our hands on the title or, at the very least, see something new.
But it wasn’t there. Travel restrictions due to Iceland volcanic ash prevented the United Kingdom-based developer from traveling to the United States. As Bethesda’s Pete Hines put it, only the developer is best to speak about its own game, not some PR talking heads. No Brink for us until E3, it seems.
But Bethesda already had some assets ready to go, and here they are. Enjoy. We’ll have more details on the game — schedule for a Fall 2010 release — coming out of E3, so stay tuned. For more on Brink right now, check out our video interview with the folks from Splash Damage that we conducted last year.
I’ll tell you what we did see: inXile brought along the latest build of Hunted, Obsidian showed of Fallout: New Vegas for the first time, and id Software showed us a demo of Rage running on the Xbox 360. More on that later today and throughout the week. Stay tuned.
