There’s nothing I like more than to curl up into a little ball and weep like a wee lassie, and Outlast looks like it’s going to give me plenty of opportunities to do so. The pants-wetting survival horror title is due out on September 4, but you can pre-order it now and get a 20 percent discount off the $19.99 retail price.
For those of you going to PAX, you’ll have a chance to check out the hands-on demo before launch. Outlast dev Red Barrels’ David Chateauneuf is also going to be on the PAX panel “Are you Afraid? A Guide to Survival Horror,” which sounds like a hoot.
I won’t be crossing the ocean and a continent to go to PAX, lamentably, but I’ll be getting my sweaty mitts on Outlast in the next couple of days, so I’m sure I’ll be able to keep myself terrified and entertained.
