Monopoly GO’s Monopoly Games season just dropped today, and with it comes more albums than usual. Of all the seasons to release so far, Monopoly Games has the most number of albums, with 23 regular sets and five prestige variations. Fortunately, Scopely knows how daunting a task card-collecting is and has come out the gate revealing that four- and five-star sticker drop rates are higher this season.
In the initial announcement posts for the Monopoly Games season from Scopely, we learn more about the differences between this season and previous ones. Alongside Monopoly Games being longer than previous seasons, lasting nearly 100 days, we have better chances of receiving four and five-star stickers.
However, this doesn’t necessarily reveal whether the odds of getting unique cards are higher. This season may turn into three months of constant duplicate cards, which, fortunately, helps encourage sticker trading in the community. Unfortunately, this also means you could get excited to get a new card and complete one of your sets, only to find that your packs keep giving duplicates. The post also doesn’t specify whether gold card drops increased this season, and there are no guaranteed gold sticker packs this season, so this could introduce a whole lot more Golden Blitz trading.
Nonetheless, this is a welcome change for anyone looking to complete all 23 base album sets during the Monopoly Games season, especially if you want to experience prestige for the first time. The final vault in Stickers for Rewards vaults is also a lower price than in previous seasons, dropping from 800 stars to 700. Like last season, though, there’s no wild sticker or guaranteed new card pack in the vaults, so you can still get duplicate stickers regardless of which you buy.
Monopoly GO’s Monopoly Games season will run from June 20 until September 26, 2024, giving you over three months to get all 207 stickers for its sets.
