Hideo Kojima has provided new details on Sdatcher, his radio drama collaboration with Suda51, via Twitter. Kojima revealed that Sdatcher is not being developed as a for-profit venture on the part of Konami and the drama will be released to the internet as a free download. At a later date, it’s planned to make a CD release available to absorb cast and crew expenses.
The tweets from Kojima, translated by Andriasang, also give a little insight into the music being written for Sdatcher by famed Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka. The directions given to Yamaoka by Kojima were that it combine 70’s progressive rock with 80’s electro pop. Kojima seems satisfied, though he has expressed concern that it may not please a wide audience.
