So business as usual
The elusive target system from 2016’s Hitman will be making a return in the upcoming sequel. For the first target, IO Interactive has announced a man that you’ll likely have seen die numerous times: Sean Bean. Famous for his roles in which he dies a noble death, Bean will be playing the elusive assassin “Mark Faba,” otherwise known as “The Undying.” Faba has a reputation for faking his death, but the agency has put 47 on the job to put the final nail in his coffin.
In a press release from IO Interactive, Bean stated, “I’m thrilled to be a part of the upcoming Hitman 2 video game. It’s always exciting to take on a new role, and I’m looking forward to everyone seeing my character in action when the mission launches.”
“We’re very excited to partner with the talented Sean Bean on the first Elusive Target mission in Hitman 2,” IO Interactive studio head Hakan Abrak said. “Elusive Targets have become a distinguishing trait in Hitman games as part of the constant stream of free live content for all players to enjoy. This new mission starring Sean Bean is one of many updates, features, modes and franchise firsts coming to Hitman 2.”
You can check out the trailer below, which is also hosting a vote for which weapon you’d like to see come to Hitman 2. For my money, I think killing Sean Bean with a pen would be amazing.
