This summer, EA is expanding the Need for Speed experience to tens of thousands of players with Need for Speed World, a PC-exclusive, free-to-play, microtransaction-funded MMO. When I saw it at a recent press event in New York City, producer Marc De Vellis hailed its game world as “the biggest Need for Speed arena ever.” If that doesn’t get you excited, then watch this trailer and see if it piques your interest.
All those dots you see on the map there? Yep, each one is a different player, and they’ll all be driving around the game world at once — when they’re not taking part in a race event, that is.
