If you’ve spent any amount of time around these parts within the past year, you know that Rocket League is enormously successful. We love itthe general public loves it; everybody seems to love it. Still, there may be some curmudgeons out there who can’t fathom how playing soccer with cars can be a good time. This one goes out to those unfortunate souls.

Starting immediately, Rocket League is playable on Steam for free until Sunday. Should you dip your toes in and find the rocket fuel to be warm and inviting, it’s also discounted 40 percent during the same period, bringing the total cost down to just $12. For one of the best sports video games of all time, that’s pretty dang good. But you don’t have to take my word for it; download it and try it out yourself!

Sadly for the free users, this promotion ends just before the Hoops update shows up, so you won’t get to try that out unless you pony up that moolah.
