At last, you’ve come far enough in Skull and Bones to upgrade from your Rank 1 equipment and start gaining some real Infamy. For the next tier of ships, guns, and more in Skull and Bones, you’ll need to find and gather materials like Bronze Ingot.
Bronze Ingot can be found in Skull and Bones by hunting down transport ships on the western coast of the Red Isle or by purchase. But you can also farm copper ore, which seems to be far more rare than the crummier Bog Iron. Copper ore can be taken to the Refinery in Saint-Anne and smelted into Bronze Ingot.
Yes, I understand you also need tin to make bronze. Look, it’s just a video game about doing pirate stuff. Let’s not complicate things.
Where to find Bronze Ingot in Skull and Bones
Due to its rarer nature, the best way to get Bronze Ingot in Skull and Bones is to steal it off transport ships. Obviously, piracy should be the first choice in a game about living the pirate fantasy. Right? Argh! Head to the west coast of the Red Isle and look for the Trade Route that goes south to the Hovohovo settlement before shooting off toward Africa. This is where you want to be to find the correct ships.
You can also harvest Copper ore. Head to the lake at the center of the isle, just south of Rova Hill. You can find two Copper nodes at the lake, one on the eastern part of the lake and another to the west on a small island. Be sure to have the pickaxe unlocked first.
As mentioned, you will need to take your stock of ore to the Refinery to turn it into the ingot you need. Also, keep in mind that you may need a lot of ore. Refer to our Refinery guide for more information on where to find it and how it works.
Finally, you can simply purchase Bronze Ingot from a settlement. The Ankohonana settlement on the south side of the aforementioned lake sells the ingot. You can also travel further south to the Sadjoa Foundry. Keep in mind that both places have limited stock, so you may want to opt for the first option.
What can you do with Bronze Ingot?
Bronze Ingot is the next tier of metal material after Bog Iron. It’s required for the next level of items, including the Spyglass II, Sentinel Cutter ship, and Culverin II cannon.
