Officially has more content than Street Fighter V
Lab Zero has announced that Skullgirls 2nd Encore, an updated version of Skullgirls Encore that includes new features, will be making its way to PC this week.

2nd Encore was originally released for PS4 last year and introduced all of the DLC characters, a fully-voiced story mode, challenges, trials, and a survival mode.
While Lab Zero confirmed in another tweet that 2nd Encore players will be able to play with Encore players and vice-versa, some players who already own the DLC characters are upset that they may not be getting a discount and will be rebuying content they already own.
I’m a huge fan of Skullgirls, but considering the characters were crowdfunded and the added content is seen as being pretty standard for bigger fighting games, I think the players kind of have a point.
I’m sure some people will make comparisons between 2nd Encore and Street Fighter V’s woeful lack of content. It’s worth keeping in mind that Skullgirls is not, and never has been, a full-price game developed by a major publisher. They’re a bit harder to compare.
Skullgirls 2nd Encore will be on PC from April 13, and cost $10 for the first week. After that, the price will rise to $15.
