Now you may be asking yourself, “What the f*ck is Snooker?” That’s a valid question, and the answer is that I have no idea. If I had to guess I’d say it’s a knockoff candy bar, although it also kinda sounds like the word this German lady across the street used to yell at me when I was a kid. Whatever it is, it’s coming to the Wii.
Google Image Search tells me it’s like Pool, only all the balls are red. One has to wonder why they didn’t just call it Pool With Red Balls and save us all the trouble, but it’s kind of a sport and I’m not Samit, so I’ll just keep quiet. Titled WSC Real 09, the game uses the Wiimote as a Pool Snooker cue, and lets you face off against in-game versions of the world’s top Snooker players.
I guess if there are people out there playing this professionally, that makes it a real thing. In that case, some of you might know what it is and dig it. If that’s you, you can check out all the details in the full press release after the jump. If that’s not you, the game also features regular Pool, but that’s for sissies. Real men play Snooker. Apparently.
