But will there be chili dogs?
Ladies and gentlemen, we now know when the end times will be. Oh sure, it was rumored that there was going to be a Sonic the Hedgehog movie for years, but I never actually believed it. Hell, I still don’t really believe it, and I’m writing this article for you all!
Sonic is going to make his big screen debut on November 15th, 2019. Other than Tim Miller, the director of the meta as hell/funny as hell Deadpool, is the executive producer, I know next to nothing about the people attached to this film. It’s being directed by Jeff Fowler, who is making his directorial debut with the blue blur, and it’s being written by the same people that wrote the hit comedy Golan the Insatiable, Pat Casey and Josh Miller.
As for the actual film, we know that it’s going to be a mix of live action and CGI in the same way that The Smurfs was a hybrid film. I’m actually not opposed to this, since it’s pretty much a given by this point that the humans are way more realistic than the walking, talking hedgehog with one giant eye.
I would personally love to see the movie take a more serious approach like Sonic Satam, but I’ll settle for a Sonic X style. Just as long as it isn’t trying to mime the success of Sonic Boom or Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. No one needs more of that.
