From ONE OK ROCK

A new Sonic Frontiers song has appeared, this time it’s one of Sega’s signature vocal-heavy Sonic songs. From the Japanese rock band ONE OK ROCK, it’s titled “Vandalize,” and will serve as the ending theme of the game.

Here’s what ONE OK ROCK’s lead vocalist (Takahiro Moriuchi, also known as “Taka”) had to say about the collaboration:

“We partnered with Sega on Sonic Frontiers because we relate to Sonic and how he’s taken on the world after getting his start in Japan. We are based in the US and have performed in Europe, Asia and South America, so we are extremely happy to be able to work with the world-renowned Sonic.”

You can watch the preview clip below via Sega with in-game footage, or listen to the song directly through the band’s YouTube channel. The timing is perfect for ONE OK ROCK, as they’re currently touring the US right now, and their new album is out on Friday.

I’m in it! This is one of the cleaner, best-foot-forward showings of the Sonic Frontiers marketing campaign so far. If they led with this and the Cyber Space footage, I think the reaction would have been completely different.
