As you explore New York in Spider-Man 2, you’ll encounter lots of interesting sights including the massive Park of Coney Island which features amusement park rides and games. Typically, you can’t play the games, but you’re given the chance to enjoy the park to your heart’s content during the mission titled A Second Chance.
You’ll want to make the most of the opportunity while it is available, so here’s a handy checklist to refer to which will help you decide which rides you want to visit. This isn’t the only reason the mission is an important one, as you also learn something shocking about one of Peter Parker’s friends.
All the rides and games of the Park of Coney Island
You’re given a list of activities to try, and it’s a pretty long list so you may be curious to know what you’re getting yourself into.
- Time Twister – a rollercoaster ride Peter rides alongside MJ. You can scream and raise your hands during the ride.
- Swish Swish – this is a game that has you aiming a basketball at a net.
- Knock ‘Em Down – a game where you try to knock down a pyramid of bottles.
- Test Your Love – a silly game Peter plays with MJ. It makes a bad prediction regarding their future.
- Flying Mantis – another ride where you can scream and raise your arms as you sit next to MJ.
- Octoride – yet another ride where you can scream.
- Hydra Head Hitters – a mini-game that has you smashing hydra heads that pop up. It’s basically whack a mole.
There are a couple of activities that aren’t listed, but you can still do them. For example, you can sit on a bench and have an intimate conversation with MJ. You can also do the following:
- Big Wheel – it’s your typical Ferris wheel where Peter has a loving moment with MJ
- Muscle Up – an amusement park game that has you testing your strength. It comes with a big surprise from Harry.
- Hydro-Bench – a game where you’re supposed to keep a water gun aimed at a moving target
When you’re ready to end the night, go ride the Speed Demon, but don’t forget to collect your prize from the prize booth first.
Things don’t go entirely as planned, as you discover something very interesting about Harry. You also have to deal with some villains who can never give Spider-Man a night off.
