As the Spider-Men swing through New York City, they’ll occasionally be contacted by some of their buddies, including MJ, Hailey, and Ganke. They’ll also get to listen to podcasts, including the Danikast and the JJJ Podcast.
Though it’s nice to occasionally get updates regarding what’s going on in the city, the podcasts can get annoying at times, especially if you’re trying to enjoy the game’s fantastic soundtrack. Fortunately, there is a way to turn off podcasts in Spider-Man 2.
How to turn off podcasts in Spider-Man 2
To give yourself some peace and quiet, pause the game by pressing the options button on the DualSense. From here, scroll down to the Settings menu. Enter the Audio Options, and under the Podcasts tab, you’ll be able to decide which podcasts you’d like on and which you want to mute.
While you’re here, there are some other sound settings you might want to tweak. There’s a highly recommended voice boost option that adjusts other sounds to ensure characters are heard when speaking. Frequency controls are also present if you are sensitive to certain sound ranges. If you plan on streaming your gameplay online, there is also a streaming mode that removes all licensed music.
With the plethora of options available, it’s easy to adjust Spider-Man 2 until you have an ideal experience. Take some time going through all the settings and testing them to see what you like.
