All of the DLC maps and modes are freely open until Nov. 20
We’re nearing the home stretch for Star Wars Battlefront, a game that is surprisingly still hanging in there (depending on which platform you’re on). DICE will release its fourth and final expansion, Rogue One: Scarif, on December 6 for season pass holders. On the same day, the free Star Wars Battlefront Rogue One: X-Wing VR Mission DLC is launching for PlayStation VR owners. I’m far more excited about the latter, despite knowing essentially nothing about it other than what’s in the name.
Scarif draws from next month’s movie Rogue One with four maps, Jyn Erso and Orson Krennic as playable characters, and oh yes, “a new multi-stage game mode with space and ground combat.”
In a ploy to get those server populations back up, DICE is giving out quadruple XP all weekend long, and the existing three expansions — Outer Rim, Bespin, and Death Star — are freely playable until November 20, 2016. That promo starts today, and all maps and modes are accessible.
