Star Wars: The Old Republic has opened its doors to early access customers, but the official site‘s servers are already struggling. As users spam the site to see if their game has unlocked yet, people are being thrown into a waiting room, which counts down from thirty seconds and then resets the counter. I’ve been unable to get in there all morning!
That said, people are getting in, so patience is a virtue. TOR is unlocking in waves so that the game’s own servers can handle the traffic, so users need to wait for an email before trying to get in. We’ll have to see how that works out, considering the site can barely take it right now. Fingers crossed!
