Originally set to close this coming Monday, the StarCraft II beta has been extended by Blizzard to continue running until Monday, June 7. And if that’s not enough, it’ll be opening up once more in the very near future so everyone can play again right before the full retail release on July 27.
Basically, this means you don’t have to spend all Memorial Day playing StarCraft II. As the proverbial devil on your shoulder, though, I strongly recommend you do it anyway. If possible, while in your pajamas and consuming lots of junk food.
Fantastic news for me, since I only recently got into the beta and have been unable to sign in yet for one reason or another. Believe you me, I will play — and totally get my ass kicked — before it’s too late.
