Lend a helping hand
Rise and shine, it’s nearly time to get to work. PC players have been farming with friends in Stardew Valley for a few months now, but the pastures are about to get bigger and greener. The Switch version should be getting cooperative multiplayer sometime soon(ish).
Today, developer Eric Barone announced that development on the Switch’s Stardew Valley multiplayer update is finished. It’s currently in the QA/testing phase to work out the bugs and whatnot. Once all the kinks are worked out, it should be ready to release.
It’s far from concrete, but it’s progress and that’s a good sign. Switch players can rest assured that they’re the first console folks to get multiplayer. PS4 and Xbox One players can rest assured knowing they’re next in line after Switch eventually releases. Farming requires patience. If you’re looking for giant beanstalks to sprout up overnight, you’re in the wrong business.
