It’s happening, guys! It’s really happening!
You know what’s dumb? Stories about games going gold. Oh cool, a game’s done and will be available to the public. That happens all the time. Stupid.
However, with South Park: The Stick of Truth, it feels a bit more substantial. Given the development hell that this has been through — everything from multiple delays to the original publisher going bankrupt — it’s a small miracle in itself that this will see the light of day. And that day is definitely confirmed to be March 4, 2014.
To commemorate the occasion, Ubisoft released a video that features Trey Parker and Matt Stone detailing the making of the game. Like everything they do, it’s pure bliss. Trey described the farting in Stick of Truth as “you need to feel it go out of your asshole.”
This game can’t get here quick enough.
