Study shows ‘online gamers are attractive individuals’

Assuming you have at least some self-esteem, if you were asked about yourself online, wouldn’t you present yourself in the best possible light? I bet you would. I would. That’s probably why a recent study and poll says that online gamers are attractive individuals with healthy and active social lives. In other words, no one out there is going to say that they’re an ugly loser dork.

Bigpoint’s survey polled 6,663 online gamers and found that the majority were attractive, well-rounded and healthy. Some 62 percent said that they had more friends offline than on. 28 percent said that they met friends online and then later met them IRL. Only a tenth of these gamers said that their only friends were online ones. Were these people the only honest ones? No, I’m sure all online gamers are lovely.

The full results of Bigpoint’s Gamer Survey will be revealed at Casual Connect later this month in Hamburg, Germany.
