Super serious Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter demo hits Steam

Croteam has let us know that  a demo for Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter is going live on Steam today, and it looks like it’s pretty serious business.

The demo will feature a full single-player level specifically designed for the demo, set in the game’s “Karnak” stage. Croteam says the demo level is so big that it could take players hours to get through on each difficult level; I expect speed run video submissions this weekend.

The demo will also feature a cooperative mode in that same “Karnak” level, with support for up to 16 players. I expect 16 different speed run video submissions this weekend.

Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter‘s been available for awhile, and Jim reviewed it. Between that and the demo, deciding whether or not it’s worth $19.99 should be simple. Those speed runs on the other hand…
