Taily’s Toxic Pond all secrets in Super Mario Bros. Wonder

Mind the toxic trivia!

Super Mario Bros. Wonder

In the fifth world of Super Mario Bros. Wonder, you’ll encounter a stage that — for lack of a better phrase — changes the game. I sure hope you’re decent at trivia minigames, because if not, Taily’s Toxic Pond might put you through the ringer. Aside from that, however, this level is actually pretty tame.

If you’re struggling to attain all secrets and collectibles in Taily’s Toxic Pond, we can most certainly help you with that! So, without further ado, let’s detail how to acquire the standard 10-Flower Coins and any secret Wonder Seeds to help you progress further towards the final battle with Bowser.

So, to start things off you’ll need a Drill Cap. If you don’t currently have one, no worries! You can easily nab one from a “?” block near the start of the level. But, if you’re not currently powered up by a Super Mushroom, the “?” block will only give you a Super Mushroom. If you are one hit from death, wear the Auto Super Mushroom badge and then hit the “?” block to nab a Drill Cap.

Immediately after finding the Drill Cap, climb atop the “?” blocks and dig into the ceiling above. You should see a flower bud you can interact with, which will spit out the first 10-Flower Coin.

To get the second 10-Flower Coin, return to the aforementioned “?” blocks and dig into the ceiling once more. Maneuver through the ceiling until you’ve passed three Tailys and run into a green warp-pipe.

Enter the warp-pipe and you’ll see two Tailys you can use to reach the second 10-Flower Coin across the way, but if you still have your Drill Cap, you can dig into the ceiling again to avoid taking any chances and grab the coin another way. Fall into the abyss to return to the level proper.

To nab this third and final 10-Flower Coin, progress in the level until you’ve reached the red pipe that’ll take you to the end of the stage, but don’t go through it! Just before that, you’ll see a horizontal green warp-pipe that you can’t enter by normal means because there are two levels of flippable blocks. Get rid of one of the Tailys in this area and let them drop a spike ball onto the top level, and then enter the pipe.

Inside, you’ll see the 10-Flower Coin, but it’s just out of reach. To acquire this coin, simply hold ‘Y’ to run off the edge, grab the Taily, and bounce back up on the other side. Then, use the vertical green warp pipe to return to the end of the level through the aforementioned red warp pipe.

To nab the Wonder Flower, you’ll first need to pass by the checkpoint flag. If you still have your Drill Cap and would like to bypass the Tailys ahead, that’s a perfectly valid strategy. If not, do whatever you have to in order to proceed past the first three Tailys and reach a second trifecta of baddies. If you take one of these Tailys out, you’ll notice the game will tell you something good will happen if you take out all three.

As soon as you’ve defeated all of these Tailys, the Wonder Flower will appear and you’ll automatically grab it. You’ll then be tasked with answering three trivia questions about the game so far — these questions are randomized, and some of them have to do with your specific adventure, i.e. how many standees you currently possess, etc. Answer three of these correctly, and you’ll earn the Wonder Seed.
