Take on cards
Take On Mars, the Mars rover simulator currently available on Steam Early Access, is getting a free update on October 3, adding two new locations to explore as well as updated features including “Dynamic Weather System.” I’m curious to know exactly how weather is handled on a planet with very little atmosphere; I’d think it would range from sunny with no wind to sunny with a negligible amount of wind.
October 3 marks more than just the Deimos Content Pack for Take On Mars. The title will also leave Early Access at that point, increasing the cost for those who haven’t yet purchased it from $12.99 to $17.99.
For those who don’t want to wait until next month for simulated Mars missions, Take On Mars has added Steam Trading Card functionality. As a trading card prospector, I predict these cards will be relatively valuable, given that there are only six in the set and the game itself isn’t extremely cheap. My guess: they will settle at about $.20 apiece.
