Tecmo throws a damned good party. The above video does a pretty good job of showing that. Faithful Destructoid readers might remember our totally tasteless Tokyo Game Show 2007 press party coverage from last year. In it, we detailed an equally epic press-only party from Tecmo. In fact, last year we even gave you video of their lovely maids.
This year the “entertainment” was cowgirl cheerleaders, serving both the Western press and the launch of Tecmo Bowl. In a brief presentation, the foreign press was introduced to many of the Tecmo big shots, including the brand new Team Ninja. It was in that presentation that Tecmo’s Yoh Watanabe said “Tecmo has been accused of plying the media with booze and girls. Well, it’s true!”
With that, the cheerleader cowgirls took the floor and did their thing. Then the drinking began. People kicked over and spilled drinks, talked smack about other outlets (too loud!), and socalized. Thanks, Tecmo. We had a great time.
Hit the jump to see a drunken picture of yours truly with Tecmo producer Koichi Yamaguchi, who after showing off his badass DS title Again, did what apparently was a spot-on impersonation of the Japanese version of 24‘s Jack Bauer. You’ll just have to take my word on how amazing it was to hear it in person.
