TGS 2007: Chocobo Dungeon: Toki Wasure no Meikyuu coming to the Wii

I will complain about Square-Enix releasing too many titles and sullying their good name to no end, but when a chocobo game is released, I just lose all my steam and become a cooing dove. I love the little birds, you see, and I can’t help myself. I’m pretty sure it’s related to that whole cute ambassador thing.

Chocobo Dungeon: Toki Wasure no Meikyuu can be roughly translated as “The Labyrinth of Forgotten Time” and takes place in the city of Ville, where all the residents have the unfortunate problem of having lost their memories. You, dear chocobo, must go dungeon-crawling to find them (although why people’s memories are lost in dungeons makes about as much sense as giving a raptor a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.)

Chocobo’s Dungeon is slated for a December 13th release in Japan. Although no US date has been announced yet, the popularity of the yellow birds is likely strong enough to warrant a release for the US by next year. Yes please, Square!
