Free comic with pre-order
Hey! Remember how there’s a new Gauntlet happening and people were excited for it yet Warner Bros. is barely making a big deal about it? Well yeah it’s still happening, set to arrive for just the PC/Steam on September 3.
The online/local four-player classic is up for pre-order, and if you want to “secure” your copy now you will be given extra items and a free comic the day the game is released. The comic is titled Gauntlet: Darkness Calls, and will detail the origins of “Gauntlet’s most vile master,” Morak.
More interesting to me from this press release was details on WB Games Vault, a program that will see Midway/Warner Bros IP paired with different game developers. For instance, this new Gauntlet is being made by Arrowhead Game Studios, famous for the Magicka series. It’s nice to see a studio finally attempting to do something with their old IPs.
