We’ve almost arrived at one of the biggest PC events of the year. Every summer, we get to experience our video game libraries growing as our personal funds become depleted. The below trailer shows that the Steam Summer Sale 2024 will be kicking off later on this week.
Thursday, June 27, to be precise, and ending on July 11 at 10 a.m. PDT. Like all the other Steam sale videos, we get a quick tease on what we can expect over the course of those two weeks, as title after title gets given a price slash, right when we should really be outdoors enjoying the sun. Oh well.
We don’t know every game that’s in the sale, but it looks like big names such as Palworld, Content Warning, Stellaris, Batman: Arkham Knight, and Manor Lords will be featured. Plus, the announcer says something about a new category called “deep discounts.” Whatever that means.

In a way, the Steam Summer Sale has already begun. If you head on over to the Steam Deck page, you can see Valve’s handheld device is currently 15% off, a deal that’s ongoing until the main sale ends. The discount is only on the 64GB and 512GB systems, and doesn’t include the OLED models.
I remember when I got a custom gaming PC for the first time in years, a long while back. It gave me the impetus to get involved with the big summer sale event. Ooh, the games I bought (spoiler: many).
In fact, I have a sneaking suspicion that some of the ones I purchased are still sat in my To-Play list, having never been installed on any of my systems. That’s the price you pay for being a PC gamer, I guess. We all know that feeling, yeah?
