The DTOID Show: Friday live show was live! Did you watch?

First and foremost, a tremendous thank you to everyone who tuned into yesterday’s live show. Between The Destructoid Show and Mash Tactics, your afternoons must be as unproductive as the day is long. Yesterday, we had a laundry list of news to cover and a handful of games to give away.

First up, Valve made the surprise announcement yesterday morning that Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will heading to PC and consoles early next year. Coming slightly sooner than that is Google+ Games, now officially live and coming to a computer near you. Max reaveals there will be no melee combat in Fable: The Journey (while doing his best Peter Molyneux impressions), and if you thought you could avoid EA’s Origin service by buying your copy of Battlefield 3 retail, think again. Also, Max finally got to check out Saints Row 3 yesterday morning. He can’t share his impressions quite yet, but why not check out this trailer instead?

An extra congratulations and wholehearted round of applause to the winners of our Mister Bistro trivia contest. How else would we have learned that MAX SCOVILLE’S REAL NAME IS JULIEN?
